Sunday Spotlight: Sheila Hicks

I have been a fan of textile artist Sheila Hicks for quite some time. Hicks studied at Yale and Syracuse Universities, and currently lives and works in Paris. In researching her background a bit, I discovered that (wait for it....) she was born in Hastings, Nebraska! I love her use of color and texture, but I’m mostly astounded by the enormous scale of many of her works.
