At times like these, it’s so important to love the home that shelters you from the outbreak. It’s also a reminder that the frenzied chasing of disposable trends is not globally (or financially) sustainable. This lovely home was originally designed over 30 (yes, 30) years ago, and I had the privilege of serving as the interior designer. Now, decades later, this cozy den was refreshed with new carpet, reclining chairs, an end table, and accessories. Same wall/ceiling paint, same brick fireplace, same cabinetry, same art. And yet, I could find examples of all the original elements on current design blogs. Your home (like life) is a marathon, not a sprint.
